The Computer Nerd is a subsidiary of Alternative Computer Services, Inc., which was established in 1990 as a computer service organization concentrating on mid-size computer systems running Business Basic Language along with "Dumb Terminals" and High Speed Dot Matrix and Band Printers (I know, we've come a LONG way with technology!!). As technology advanced and demands changed in the industry, we have strived to build on our existing knowledge of computers and peripherals and apply that knowledge to the latest equipment and software in order to support our customers and help them concentrate on their businesses in order to grow.

Due to the enormous demand for hardware and software (in addition to support), The Computer Nerd retail store was opened in Randolph, Ma. in 1997 and a second location was established a year later in Hingham, Ma. in order to meet further demands for custom built computer systems.

In July of 2002, The Computer Nerd closed it's retail operations due to the ever changing market, in order to concentrate on the Computer Service portion of the business. We now specialize in Onsite Service, which includes PC Repair, Virus Removal, System performance checkups, Home/Small Office Network installation and support, Laser Printer repair, and much more. We also work closely with other technology consultants in order to assist our clients in many different ways.
